Maungakawa Road, Te Miro, Cambridge

Designed by For the Love of Landscape in 2022, this hill top Maungakawa Road project in Te Miro, Cambridge, is a rural lifestyle block garden designed for high-wind zones whilt retaining rural views.

The kitchen garden features hardwood timber sleeper raised vegetable and herb beds with trellises for climbing vegetables, with pea gravel paths for access. 

Pittosporum Stephen's Island, and Box hedges frame the space and help screen prevailing winds.

The kitchen garden is nestled amongst many cut flower species and Eucalyptus Baby Blue trees for flower arranging foliage. The South facing entrance garden features lush shade tolerant native Psedudopanax Cyril Watson, Kawakawa, with Nikau and Cyathea tree fern as accents and  border planting of Renga Renga Lily and Tractor Seat.
