Greenslade Road, Raglan, Waikato

Contemporary two-story coastal pavilion home on Greenslade Road, Raglan, integrated into a sloping hillside garden featuring native ponga tree ferns, cabbage trees, and layered coastal groundcovers by For the Love of Landscape.

We undertook the initial landscape architecture of this Greenslade Road project in Raglan in 2020. This coastal  beach house, spanning a challenging, sloping Raglan section had a brief of  low-maintenance native planting, to work with the  We combined their love of clean architectural lines with timeless materials—incorporating wide gravel-filled timber sleeper steps, structural native ponga tree ferns, cordyline cabbage trees, and cascading coastal groundcovers to permanently stabilize the embankment.
