Designed by For the Love of Landscape in 2021, this Greenslade Road, Raglan residential project transforms a steep coastal hillside into a highly functional outdoor living sanctuary. The structural layout utilizes expansive multi-tiered timber sleeper retaining walls and wide timber steps to seamlessly connect the contemporary home and glass balustrade entertainment deck to the lower lawn terraces. Curated with a bold, low-maintenance sub-tropical planting palette, the garden features mass-planted tractor seat plants (Ligularia reniformis), architectural Xanadu philodendrons, structural Lancewoods, and fine native tussock grasses that stabilize the sloped Waikato section while framing sweeping panoramic views of the blue coastal harbor skyline.
