Located on Cliff Street in the premier coastal destination of Raglan, Waikato, this architectural landscape design demonstrates how minimalist hardscaping and deliberate botanical curation can frame and elevate high-end modern residential design. Designed by For the Love of Landscape in 2020, the layout utilizes crisp, multi-level timber decking, an automated louvered dining pavilion, and a custom-engineered entry gate to zone a narrow section into highly functional, luxurious outdoor living spaces. By balancing the bold, black gabled architecture of the home with clean-lined boundary hedging, architectural cloud-pruned topiary trees, a productive raised edible garden, and a resort-style integrated spa pool zone, the design creates a completely private, layered oasis. Densely underplanted with a premium sub-tropical palette featuring bold, glossy Ligularia dramatically contrasted against the iridescent purple foliage of Persian shield, this coastal property stands as a masterclass in modern, cohesive, and sophisticated outdoor living.
